The Strength and Conditioning courses DLV hosted for the last couple of weeks provided a real change-of-pace for everyone involved. The good news is that we’re going to run them through the summer with a couple of adjustments…

DLV is offering two types of sessions that run three days a week. They are two-week packages. (Yes, players can sign up for both.) The two-week sessions are only $60 and start every Monday.

Starting June 1: on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays:

  • Strength and Conditioning sessions at 11:00-noon
  • Jump Class sessions from 4:00-5:00 pm

Kevin Newsom, DLV’s Strength and Conditioning Coach is running these supervised workouts and assures that your player will be challenged for the entire 60 minutes!

Overall conditioning, as well as an explosive vertical jump provide the essential foundation of a competitive volleyball player. Without these attributes, players are simply not able to reach their potential and could potentially shorten their competitive career options.

DLVBC's COVID-19 Protocol

DLVBC is following the directives of the City of Southaven Parks and Recreation Department. Furthermore, any and all plans are subject to new executive orders by Governor Reeves.

Players who:

  • have been in direct contact with anyone testing positive for COVID-19
  • exhibit symptoms: fever, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat

…are not allowed to enter the building and should notify DLV immediately. They will not be allowed to enter the facility until cleared in writing by the Director of DLV.

  • Players will not be allowed to enter the building until five minutes prior to their scheduled times to allow for previous attendees to exit the building
  • Please arrive wearing your appropriate volleyball equipment
  • Warm-up and stretch the best you can outside the building if possible
  • Players need to bring their own water/water bottles
  • We recommend players bring their own hand sanitizer
  • Due to city limitations of group sizes, parents are not allowed to stay in the building during sessions

Please follow these guidelines
so we can Play On!
